Build a Native QR Code Event Ticketing System in Account Engagement

2023 was my 4th consecutive year presenting at Mardreamin', a virtual conference for all things Salesforce Marketing, including Account Engagement (f/k/a Pardot), Marketing Cloud and more.

This year's presentation was a demonstration of how you can run a small scale in-person event with a ticketing system completely native inside of Account Engagement. This is ideal for non-paid in-person events like open houses, hospitality sessions, lunch and learns, and the like. We'll look at all the automation components and methods necessary for you to easily reproduce this method yourself. The full video of the session is below:

This solution shows you a technique to create unique QR code tickets for your event without any plugins or third party subscriptions. This includes a check-in procedure to track how many ticket holders came to your event.

The Account Engagement QR Code Reader Template Code for a Landing Page is linked below. Use this as the layout template in the "Old" Account Engagement landing page builder without a form. This has not been tested with the new Landing Page builder. Branded as UnFettered Marketing, modify as you see fit.

Find some instructions on how it works here. I just dropped the code into the landing page, you can easily start from there and do the same. The template code uses the JS code as hosted on Cloudlflare, but this could also be copied and hosted elsewhere such as on your website or, theoretically, in Account Engagement (also not tested)
